OEC ANNOUNCES ONLINE COMPUTER GLOSSARY
Atlanta, Georgia, March 24, 1993 -- OEC Systems of Atlanta
today announces the online Electronic Computer Glossary.
This unique service is the result of a joint effort between the
author, Alan Freedman of The Computer Language Company, and Gary
Smith, the System Operator of the OEC Bulletin Board System.
The Electronic Computer Glossary is the reference of choice for
both industry experts and lost-in-the-lingo novices. More a
mini-encyclopedia than a dictionary, it provides nearly 6,000
definitions of computer terms including important products and
companies. The Glossary:
* Covers the entire computer industry with definitions of
fundamental components explained for all computers, micro,
mini and mainframe.
* Includes a complete DOS tutorial.
* Explains data management, the heart of information science,
and much more.
The ECG may be used by modem free-of-charge on the OEC
Bulletin Board System and is available free-of-charge to
SysOps of other BBBes, to be used as an online service. The
Glossary is available for DOS and Windows at only $24 through
OEC (regular price $30.)
The OEC BBS number is 404-804-7889. Gary Smith may be reached at
OEC Systems by phone at 404-394-1000 or by fax at 404-394-1006.
